In the spring of 2005 a small group of people got together in the UK to support a children's home in a remote district of east Uganda, near a little village called Bulange. The home was occupied by 60 children (the vast majority of whom were AIDS orphans) and the small number staff caring for them. The home was run by Sam and Eva Kitalya, and they called it Bushfire. Back in the UK, the group decided to call themselves the Bushfire Family UK, and subsequently registered as a uk charity under this name. This website will give you an insight into the work we've been doing with the Bushfire Children's Home, Bulange to date, and a taste of what we hope is to come.
